What is required to do the Atomic Art process?
The Atomic Art process has very few requirements but they must all be met in order to properly implement the Atomic Art technology
- NDA … All customers and dealers are required to sign and submit a Non-Disclosure Agreement
- Atomic Art Kit … this includes the end-user license and self-training videos among other items
- One-time purchase, no annual renewal requirement, non-transferable
- Single computer, one-time installation, Internet access required to activate license code.
- Laser Inks … you determine how much square foot coverage you so desire and order accordingly
- Inks are consumables requiring replenishment when supply has been consumed
- Laser Engraver… All CO2 laser systems are capable of utilizing the Atomic Art, full color technology.
- “Atomic Art Enabled” refer to the fact that we’ve determined there are no special alterations done to the file that is sent to the laser system. So even if not listed as “Atomic Art Enabled” your CO2 laser can still use Atomic Art, we will simply have to work with you to ensure that the file doesn’t get altered in the transfer from computer to buffer to laser system.
- Air Compressor … an air compressor that can handle 40 psi is sufficient
- If using a compressor that exceeds 40 psi a regulator is required to reduce the psi output
- If using a compressor that exceeds 40 psi a regulator is required to reduce the psi output
- Air brush kit … this is necessary in order to evenly apply the “laser inks” for each CMYK color pass
- Glass bottles … to have one per CMYK color ready for quick and easy “ink” application
- Monitor Calibrator … not necessary but recommended if as close as possible color matching is essential
With the exception of requirement #1, #2 & #3 you can purchase the other items at a local hobby shop or arts and crafts store or you can do a Google search and pick up the items online. Of course to make it easy for our customers you can simply use our convenient online Shop and get everything you need to begin creating full color images in a turnkey package.
Do you offer an Atomic Art “Starter Kit”?
NO! This would entail an actual license kit with video tutorials in order to learn the process in order to implement the Atomic Art technology. With that said we do offer a sample on your substrate of choice for a small fee of $75 per sample. Note: This sample purchase price ($75 maximum, shipping n/a) will be credited towards your Atomic Art Kit purchase if ordered within thirty (30) days of sample purchase .

What is the average cost to produce a square foot image?
Depends upon the ink kit purchased. The more ink purchased the lower the per square foot production cost becomes. For example the smallest 30 square foot laser color ink kit would run about $13 per square foot, whereas the largest 200 square foot laser color ink kit would be a low $8 per square foot production cost.
- 30′ @ $395 = $13.17 per square foot production cost
- 60′ @ $695 = $11.58 per square foot production cost
- 100′ @ $995 = $9.95 per square foot production cost
- 200′ @ $1595 = $7.98 per square foot production cost
What can be charged per full color image square foot?
Here is an example to compare our recommended base price against.
Typical photographs are laser engraved onto black marble which dependent upon your area is charged from $100 – $200 per square foot. Keep in mind this is a simple black and white image on raw stone.
Now add color to the many substrates that never could be laser engraved before that is far more widely used than black marble and you can see the value of charging a premium. Atomic Art suggests a starting point retail price per square foot of $150 minimum. If your market can bear the higher $300 that would be a much better starting point.
Of course in determining your Atomic Art pricing structure there are many variables that must be factored in, such as, market condition, local competition, complexity of image preparation, and even size of project (1 square foot could be charged a premium, whereas a 4′x8′ would be significantly less expensive).
As you well know if the market cannot bear the high dollar figure dropping price is much easier, whereas if you determine that your starting price point is too low then it is very difficult to increase your retail price.
What is a License Agreement?
- A license agreement is a contract to utilize; in this case, the Atomic Art process for any business purpose the buyer/licensee deems appropriate.
- Until the patent is issued it is essentially a Trade Secret purchased with the understanding that the Licensee is responsible for security of that knowledge.
- At the time of the patents issue, the agreement is usually modified since the process is now legally protected.
What is an NDA?
A N on-D isclosure A greement. An NDA creates a confidential relationship between the parties to protect any type of confidential and proprietary information or a trade secret. Atomic Art utilizes an NDA in order to provide intellectual property & patent protection. All customers purchasing Atomic Art are required to sign and submit an NDA!
Is Atomic Art seeking dealers/resellers of the technology ?
YES! Atomic Art is always actively seeking independent laser system resellers to sign on to become dealers of the Atomic Art, full color laser engraving technology. The commission structure is very generous, allowing for dealers to bundle the Atomic Art with their laser systems at cost (helps to sell more lasers ) or at MSRP (allows for a substantial commission ). Also there is recurring revenue available, which is unheard of for laser system resellers. So if you have an interest in adding Atomic Art to your product lineup to sell more laser systems &/or generate recurring revenue, simply fill out the form below and we will contact you shortly.
